Designed for adult business learners, students will learn the in’s and out’s of Google as a Search utility for small business. We will learn about Google Map references and Google Places, AdSense, AdWords, how Social Media and Social Bookmarking interacts with Search, and how to generally use Google Analytics. Also, we’ll study search engine optimization (SEO), introduce Google Webmaster Tools, and examine Google Apps as a cloud-based alternative to a dedicated server. Students will walk away from this course with a basic understanding of Google as a search engine, its tools and features related to business, how Google solutions can reduce costs and improve productivity, and how Google can be used to promote a small business marketing strategy.
