I guess this would sort of be considered a differentiating strategy because not many software companies allow an older version, of an application, to open a newer file type. I have definitely seen newer apps opening older files but not vice versa. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;You know one of my previous professors couldn&#039;t open some documents I submitted in PPT and Word 2007 and didn&#039;t let me know until the last week of the course and then said that it was too late to resubmit them, talk about &quot;students first&quot;?
